For most people a weekend bike ride probably entails a leisurely cycle through country lanes and a nice pub lunch.  AV Engineering’s Gino Parete has a slightly different approach.

Over the weekend of 17 & 18 May, Gino, along with 1500 other riders, took part in the Mitie London Revolution helping to raise money for the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity.  The 185 mile trip starts and finishes at Lee Valley Park near Enfield, north London.   Over two days riders pass through beautiful countryside as well as taking in some of the London’s famous sites.

Gino describes himself as ‘keen cyclist who takes it seriously’ and ‘enjoys the challenge’.  The London Revolution is certainly a challenge and includes several hill climbs.  ‘This event is so well organised and it is such a good feeling as you tick the miles off,’ he said.  No stranger to long distance bike rides having taken part in the Chiltern 100 before, Gino, not surprisingly, recommends a comfy saddle as essential!

At the last count Gino has helped to raise around £300 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.  It’s not too late if you would like to donate to this great cause, just visit .  If you would like more information about the Mitie London Revolution, please click .  To learn more about Breakthrough Breast Cancer and their work, please visit .
